The research aims to shed light on the history and civilization of the city of Al-Ashmunayn during the first three centuries of Hegra, which relied on its information on historical sources and archaeological evidence and Arabic writers and foreign travelers who visited Egypt in different periods, in addition to studying in the light of the Arab papyrus, which reflects the social and economic aspects of the city such as (abscess receipts, correspondence diwaniya, contracts of all kinds), and has been mentioned that the city in many of the preserved papyri, either in the Egyptian books in Cairo, a group of JOHN RYLANDS library, which saved at the University of Manchester, England, and a group of Archduke Rainer at the National Library in Vienna, Austria, and it has studied and analyzed some of published Arabic papyri .
