Studying the Possibility of Sustainable Tourism Development in the Golden Triangle Area

Abstract

We can consider the process of sustainable tourism development to satisfy the needs of current and prospective tourists, and preserve the rights of future generations to enjoy the environment, In other words, tourism continues in the tourist region for a longer period of several generations, without causing environmental damage. The environmental, heritage and archeological sites must be preserved in order to achieve sustainable tourism development. The study aims to identify the possibility of sustainable tourism development in the Golden Triangle, which is located between Qena, Safaga and Quasar, as well as to identify the most important tourism patterns that can be practiced in the region. The study reached many results, Among the most important of them is that the Golden Triangle area is suitable for sustainable tourism development, The study reached the necessity of exploiting some elements including the Nile River, the desert environment, the Dandara Temple in Qena, the black sand and beaches in Safaga, the Ottoman Castle and the coral reefs in Qusair. The study recommended many recommendations, the most important of which is the necessity of taking advantage of the tourism ingredients in Qena, Safaga and Al-Qusayr, as well as the study recommended the need to ensure that no activities that affect the tourism or natural components of the Golden Triangle are established.
