Studying the Relationship between Organizational Cynicism and Job Frustration in Egyptian Travel Agencies

Abstract

Organizational Cynicism appears when employees lack confidence in their organizations and feel frustrated and angry about the organization. This includes business organizations of all kinds, tourism, industrial and service; this is associated with a set of negative influences that can hinder the effectiveness or success of these organizations. This is due to the importance of the tourism sector from an economic and social point of view, and the different nature of the tourism service, especially that it is provided through direct interaction between service providers and tourists, and therefore the need to understand and analyze the behavior of service providers and work to limit the negative phenomena that affect them within the work. Therefore, this study aimed to try to define and study the relationship between organizational cynicism (as an independent variable) and job frustration (as a dependent variable) and to determine the extent to which organizational cynicism affects the dimensions of job frustration in Egyptian tourism companies. To achieve the goal of the study, survey forms were distributed after selecting a random sample of workers in tourism companies sector (A) in the Greater Cairo region, and the number of sample items (384) and it was relied on (342) forms valid for analysis, The study found a positive relationship between organizational cynicism and job frustration in Egyptian tourism companies, in addition to a significant effect of organizational cynicism on job frustration in the tourism companies in question.
