Civilized and Social Coexistence between Muslims and Non-Muslims in Upper Egypt at the First Centuries of Hijra

Abstract

This study is interested in showing civilized coexistence amongst Muslims and non –Muslims in upper Egypt at the first centuries of Hijra, this through   many historical events and situations and through historical documents like the Arab papyrus. This study also talks about the situation of non-Muslims during the Islamic conquest which was civilized as they helped the Muslims against the Byzantines  This study  talks about historical models  for civilized co-existence  among the Muslims and non-Muslims in all aspects of life such as religious ,administrative ,economic, social and talks about historical models for civilized co-existence amongst the Muslims and non-Muslims through the Arab papyrus and this also in all aspects of life such as  administrative ,economic,social.and this is evident in marriage contracts, names  of makers  and craftsmen ,and the tribute which they pay for the rulers.
