Abstract

The study aims to study small projects that provide food and beverage services in Egypt and evaluate their role in raising the standard of living for individuals and developing the local community, in addition to evaluating the government's role in supporting and motivating these projects. To achieve this goal, a survey form was used as a study tool to collect data, which was distributed to a sample of small business owners in the Greater Cairo Region. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program was used to analyze the obtained data. It was concluded that this type of project has a vital role in developing the local community and reducing unemployment through the job opportunities it provides for young people. Finally, a set of recommendations were presented to develop the small enterprises of food and beverages services in Egypt.
