The Phyles System in Ancient Egypt

Abstract

       The definition of the Phyles is a group of workers in the temples of Ancient Egypt. It was a Greek word; it was called sA in Ancient Egypt. This system dates back to the archaic period. It appeared also in the Old Kingdom and later. The best example of the Phyle system dates back to the fourth dynasty through inscribing their names on the mason marks and tools.
