Abstract

The reign of al-Nāṣṣir Muḥammad Ibn Qalāwūn is characterized by a great prosperity and progress in all fields of life, especially the architectural and artistic ones. These were accomplished due to the considerable efforts and achievements of al-Nāṣṣir Muḥammed himself and of his Amīrs and Mamluks. Among these Amīrs, is Arġūn al-Nāṣṣirī who was considered as one of the well-known and active Amīrs during the reign of al-Nāṣṣir Muḥammad. So, the overall aim of this research is to study the archaeological and artistic life of al-Amīr Arġūn al-Nāṣṣirī, as well as, demonstrates his notable contributions in political, social, economic and cultural sides for the Mamluk state. This research is ended by a number of important results that proved his significant role in all fields at the reign of al-Nāṣṣir Muḥammed Ibn Qalāwūn.
