The Effect of Open-Book Management on Employees’ Job Satisfaction in Hotels

Abstract

The aim of the study is to identify the role played by the Open-Book management method in increasing the employees’ job satisfaction in hotels, Therefore, a random sample was selected from five-star hotels in Cairo, 350 questionnaire forms were distributed to the employees and 250 were collected. The study concluded that to apply this approach within the Egyptian hotels, hotels must remove the employees’ traditional management concepts, which depends on the extension of powers in the hands of senior management. The study found that there is a positive relationship between the Open-Book management and increased employees’ job satisfaction and found that the Open-Book management affects 93.3% of the employees’ job satisfaction in hotels. Therefore, the study recommended the importance of applying the approach in the hotels,
