This research sheds light on a guardian genie who is called “Smt” through many points, such as the meaning of the name "Smt" in the ancient Egyptian language and the methods of writing the name of this genie in the various sources such as religious books, coffins and temples. The research also highlighted the different forms of this god which varied between human or animal forms in addition of the shape of the falcon. Furthermore, this study focuses on the most prominent roles that he played in the ancient Egyptian religion, the most prominent of which was the protection of the deceased in the other world.
