The impact of entrepreneurial orientation on strategic flexibility in Egypt Air

Abstract

The adoption of various companies' entrepreneurial orientation and strategic flexibility has become an inevitable necessity due to the rapid changes and intense competition in the work environment. This study aimed to measure the impact of the entrepreneurial orientation on strategic flexibility and its dimensions in Egypt Air. The study relied on the descriptive analytical method, in addition to reliance on a survey form to collect study data from employees of Egypt Air. A number of 358 forms were distributed, Only 306 forms were valid for statistical analysis. The results of the study highlighted a strong and positive correlation between Egypt Air adoption of the entrepreneurial orientation and the level of its strategic flexibility. The results also confirmed that entrepreneurial orientation has a significant and positive impact on enhancing strategic flexibility and its four dimensions represented in coordination flexibility, production flexibility, marketing flexibility, and human resource flexibility. The study recommended the need to possess competitive intelligence skills, by collecting and analyzing all data and information on the internal and external work environment, and using them to constantly modify and improve their strategies and plans.
