Abstract

This study investigated the influence of workplace innovation on employee performance within the Egyptian hospitality and tourism sector, specifically within five-star hotels and category (A) travel agencies. The study further examined the moderating role of knowledge sharing in this relationship. Data was collected from 332 respondents and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with WarpPLS 8.0. The findings demonstrated a significant positive relationship between workplace innovation and employee performance. Moreover, knowledge sharing exhibited a positive influence on both workplace innovation and employee performance. Importantly, the study revealed a significant positive moderating effect of knowledge sharing on the relationship between workplace innovation and employee performance. These results underscore the critical role of knowledge sharing in enhancing the impact of workplace innovation on employee outcomes within the hospitality and tourism industry.
