Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on strategic performance in tourism and hospitality institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a particular focus on the moderating role of knowledge sharing in this relationship. To achieve this objective, the study adopted a quantitative approach by designing a structured questionnaire to collect data from employees working in travel agencies and hotels in the Riyadh region. A total of 592 valid questionnaires were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods. The findings revealed that entrepreneurial orientation has a statistically significant positive impact on strategic performance. Moreover, knowledge sharing was found to be a crucial factor in enhancing this performance and demonstrated a strong moderating role that amplifies the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on strategic performance. This indicates that the integration of entrepreneurial orientation and knowledge-sharing practices contributes substantially to achieving strategic objectives and improving the overall organizational performance. The study emphasizes the importance of adopting organizational policies that foster innovation and support knowledge exchange to strengthen the ability of tourism and hospitality institutions to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage in the Saudi market.
