The Impact of Job Rotation on Organizational Commitment Level of the Employees in the Egyptian Travel Agencies: Mediating Role of Job Involvement

Abstract

Job rotation is one of the innovative strategies to improve the level of organizational commitment and raise the level of employees' job involvement within organizations. The study aims to explore the impact of job rotation on the level of organizational commitment of the employees in the Egyptian travel agencies category "A", via the mediating role of job involvement. 480 Questionnaires were distributed to a random sample of employees in travel agencies category A, while 421 forms were valid for statistical analysis. The study found that job rotation has a significant and positive impact on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. The study revealed that job involvement partially mediates the relationship between job rotation and organizational commitment in the Egyptian travel agencies category "A". The Application of job rotation policy helps to improve the level of employees' performance in travel agencies by acquiring them new skills and experiences, as well as enhancing and developing the level of organizational commitment and job involvement.
