Assessing the Effect of Organizational Communication Patterns on the Employee Performance of Egyptian Travel Agencies

Abstract

Organizational communication is one of the most important means that contribute to raising the level of job performance and achieving excellence for travel agencies. There was a lack of communication between senior management within the Egyptian travel agencies and their employees, which adversely affect their performance. Therefore, the need has emerged for a comprehensive study to identify the impact of the communication patterns of organization on the job performance of employees. This study aims to explore the impact of organizational communication on the performance of workers in Egyptian travel agencies (category "A"). To achieve the goal of the study a questionnaire was designed and distributed to employees in Egyptian travel agencies (category "A") in Cairo and Alexandria, where 540 questionnaires were distributed and 486 questionnaires were retrieved. The number of valid questionnaires for analysis reached to 412 with a response rate of 76.3%. The data was analyzed using SPSS v.24 program. The study concluded that there is a significant and positive impact of tourism companies ’adoption of oral and electronic performance of workers. The study also found that organizational communications affect significantly to increase the effectiveness of the performance of employees within the Egyptian tourism companies.
