The Study of Evaluation Organizational citizenship behavior among the Employees of Egyptian Tourism Agencies

Abstract

Organization citizenship behavior is activity or state of mind craved by the organization since it is related to perspectives that influence the viability and victory of the organization, such as reducing costs , increased resources , increasing productivity, encouraging spontaneous and innovative activity , as well as linking citizenship behavior to the work environment and job satisfaction, reducing the need to use formal control methods  and thus becoming responsible for creating the appropriate working environment conducive to practicing organizational citizenship behaviors. The objective of the study was to assess the awareness and practice of the employees of category  (A) tourism agencies for organizational citizenship behaviors. To achieve the objective of the study, 386 survey forms were distributed to a random sample of employees in category (A) tourism agencies, while 326 analysis samples were valid for analysis. The study concluded that the employees of the tourism agencies are practicing theOrganizational citizenship behaviors to a large extent, where they practice all dimensions to varying degrees. These include the sincerity of citizenship, awareness of conscience, sportsmanship, generosity or civility, altruism. It also concluded that the behavior of organizational citizenship affects the level of employee productivity. The impact of the support and cooperation offered by colleagues to each other reflects the improvement of performance through the exchange of technical expertise and skill, which brings benefits to the organization and maximizes the benefit of the human element.
