Studying the Impact of Organizational Climate on Employees Empowerment in the Egyptian hotels: Applied to Five-star Hotels in Alexandria Governorate

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of the organizational climate in its various dimensions and elements on empowering the employees at the five-star Egyptian hotels in Alexandria. This study also aims to improve the level of empowerment of the employees which reflects positively on achieving hotel goals and satisfying the needs and desires of the employees. To achieve this goal, the researchers designed a survey questionnaire that was distributed to a group of employees in the following divisions (front offices, food and beverages and housekeeping) within a group of five star hotels in Alexandria Governorate. The aim was to identify the attitudes and opinions of the employees towards the organizational climate. The reality of empowering workers and analyzing the relationship between organizational climate dimensions and empowering workers. The results showed that majority of the attitudes and opinions of the respondents were positive in all the dimensions of the organizational climate in the study sample hotels in addition to the existence of a positive statistical relationship between elements of the organizational climate and employee  empowerment in hotels. The study showed that the organizational climate significantly affects through its dimensions (nature of the work, Teamwork, work technology, professional progress, appreciation and support in the system) employee  empowerment in the sample study hotels.
